Strangers in a hometown. Home in a stranger’s town.  For more than 25 years, Family House has opened
its doors to patients and their families, providing them with comfortable, affordable surroundings
while undergoing specialized hospital treatment at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, the
Western Pennsylvania Hospital, and other hospitals in the Pittsburgh area.

Family House, a nonprofit corporation operated by a voluntary board of directors, provides a special
“home away from home” for patients and/or families. Thanks to the generosity and support of the
Pittsburgh community, Family House is able to provide a comfortable haven to help our guests
through stressful times.
